‘Seun is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution practice group of the firm. She has over 9 years advocacy experience, representing clients in employment, intellectual property, contracts, competition and trusts, debt recovery, insolvency and business restructuring litigation.
A graduate of the University of Hertfordshire, she is particularly active in LCIA, UNCITRAL and ICC international arbitration disputes, covering the construction, retail, manufacturing, energy, oil and gas industries.
In 2016, she was appointed a Director of the Lagos Court of Arbitration-Young Arbitrators Network (LCA-YAN) for a term of 2 years and in 2018, was appointed a Co-Chair of the association.
She regularly writes and speaks on international arbitration and advocacy.

Sarah Hannaford QC is a leading commercial barrister at Keating Chambers whose work spans both the United Kingdom and international markets. She specialises in construction, engineering, infrastructure and energy disputes together with professional negligence work within these areas of expertise. She has also carved out a strong procurement practice in recent years. Sarah was called to the Northern Ireland Bar in 2015.
Sarah is recommended by Chambers UK Bar as a “multi-talented QC with a remarkably wide practice”. She is regularly instructed in complex construction and commercial disputes in the UK Courts, adjudication and international arbitration. She has experience in the full range of contractual claims which arise out of construction projects, including claims relating to defects, termination, delay and professional negligence. Stella Hu is specialised in international commercial arbitration and China-related dispute resolution. She has experience in resolving complex commercial disputes between Chinese and foreign parties in sectors including oil and gas, international sales of goods, M&A, joint venture, financial investment, hotel management. She represented clients in HKIAC, ICC, SIAC, LCIA, SCC and CIETAC arbitrations in both English and Chinese languages. She advised both Chinese and foreign clients on various complex jurisdictional issues with respect to China related arbitrations and is the primary author of the firm’s popular Guide on Interim Relief in Mainland China.
Stella served as a committee member of HK45, a group representing young arbitration practitioners in Asia and beyond, and a Young Experienced Practitioner under Delos, an innovative institution dedicated in efficient, flexible and cost-effective arbitration. She is also a member of ArbitralWomen, a leading organisation focusing on female arbitration practitioners and arbitrators. She regularly speaks at arbitration events and is teaching classes on international arbitration as part of the Tsinghua University LL.M. in International Arbitration and Dispute Settlement.
Stella is qualified in Hong Kong. She is currently based in Beijing having worked in the firm’s Hong Kong and Shanghai offices. Stella is fluent in English and is a native speaker of Mandarin. She has conversational Cantonese and Japanese.

Dr. Katherine Simpson, FCIArb. is an international arbitrator based in the U.K. (33 Bedford Row Chambers) and the U.S. (Simpson Dispute Resolution).
She has served sole arbitrator in international commercial disputes and has participated in international commercial and investor-state matters chaired by Profs. Karl-Heinz Böckstiegel and William W. Park, among other leading arbitrators.
She is an educator and has ongoing research in investor-state dispute resolution with the University of Michigan. She lectures frequently on topics related to international arbitration and advocacy, and her international efforts to increase diversity in international dispute resolution include “The New List – Arbitrators of African Descent” (with Nancy M. Thevenin) and “CETA – Where are the Women?”, which was shortlisted for GAR’s “Equal Representation in Arbitration Pledge”-Award (2020).
