We are pleased to announce that Chinyerugo Ugoji and Davidson Oturu with effect from 1st February 2017.

Chinyerugo was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2005 and obtained his LL.B from the University of Lagos. He works in the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate/Commercial and Corporate Tax Practice Groups. He has considerable experience advising on M & A transactions and recently acted for a holding company in a merger by way of external restructuring with four of its subsidiaries. He was part of the team that advised a beverage company on its US$ 300 million acquisition of a minority stake in another beverage company.  He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Capital Markets Solicitors Association.

Davidson has an LL.M from the University of Cumbria, UK and obtained his LL.B from the University of Ibadan. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2007. He works in the firm’s Intellectual Property, Corporate/Commercial and Dispute Resolution Practice Groups. His practice involves all aspects of intellectual property litigation and is acting for an international retail supermarket in a $100 million copyright infringement suit. His regulatory advisory work includes the provision of legal support to technical advisory groups funded by the USAID and DFID that are aimed at providing high-level support to Federal and State Government agencies on their Public Private Partnership (PPP) programmes. He is a member of the Africa Global Advisory Council of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and also a member of the Steering Committee of the Labour & Employment Law Group of the International Section of the American Bar Association.
