On Monday March 23, 2020, Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) through a circular gave notice of the temporary closure of all of its trading floors and announced that all its traders will continue to trade remotely through its digital platforms. In response to the fight against COVID – 19 the NSE also suspended all meetings within and outside its organisations and urged employees to leverage on technological tools to conduct meetings virtually.
